Like it or not, Metallica is headlining Glastonbury this weekend. The decision to bring the American heavy metal band to Britain's so-called "hippie" festival sparked controversy.
The UK's Independent cites a recent survey saying nearly 80% would resell their tickets if they could. Organizers devised a way to sell tickets that prevents scalping, but also prevents legitimate ticketholders from reselling.
Metallica was a late addition to the lineup, and was announced after tickets went on sale. Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis has defended Metallica's appearance, saying there's never been an act "so keen to play."
Band members have also expressed their enthusiasm along with a promise to be respectful of the iconic event. Metallica is set to headline Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage on Saturday.
