6-year-old boy with brain tumor gets birthday wish

All 5-year-old Danny Nickerson wanted for his birthday was some cards to open. And on his 6th birthday, he had almost 100,000.

Now 6-year-old Danny Nickerson was diagnosed in October with an inoperable brain tumor. He has been in such intense chemotherapy ever since his diagnosis that he no longer can attend kindergarten. As one can imagine, Danny has been a little lonely.

Danny's mom, Carley posted Danny's birthday wish to receive birthday cards on Facebook. Carley told ABC News that Danny is always happy to see envelopes addressed to him.

On Danny's birthday, he had boxes and boxes of cards at the post office, just waiting to be opened. Danny also got to go to Legoland and met the owner of the New England Patriots, Bob Kraft, who also came bearing birthday gifts.

We’re so happy Danny got his birthday wish.
