Creedence Clearwater's John Fogerty Preps Memoir

Former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman John Fogerty plans to write a memoir detailing his life and career as a solo recording artist and as the songwriter, lead vocalist and guitarist for CCR, The Associated Press reports. The autobiography, which has yet to be titled, is due sometime in 2014. Publishing company Little, Brown and Co. has signed on with Fogerty to help transcribe his life to print. The company previously published Keith Richards' 2010 autobiography “Life.” Fogerty fans will also see his new album, which was originally set to release this past October, within the next year. “Wrote a Song for Everyone” will be his tenth solo album to date.

The memoir is expected to touch base on his time with CCR until their break-up in the mid-‘70s, as well as his solo career that continues on with his upcoming album which will feature collaborations with various artists including the Foo Fighters, Bob Seger, Jennifer Hudson and Miranda Lambert. Fogerty said in a statement that his story will share the high and low points of his career, as well as how they affected his personal life.

I have come to a place where I can look back and reflect on those stories and share what really happened. I am the guy who lived it, and you will hear me tell the story for the first time.
