Ann and Nancy Wilson released their first self-written autobiography 'Kicking & Dreaming: A story of Heart, Soul, and Rock & Roll' on Tuesday, and as if that wasn’t enough for their fans, the band's new album 'Fanatic' will be available Oct. 2. The first sisters of rock and roll — who were awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today — haven't slowed down since their debut in the seventies. The Wilsons keep on rocking with new music, their new book release and a tour calendar that keeps on growing.
'Kicking and Dreaming' follows the story of Heart since the beginning. The book details the triumphs and tribulations the band has experienced over the past four decades. Heart fanatics that have stuck with the sisters throughout the years will love the story’s personal and honest touch. "It’s a true rock and roll story," Ann told The Examiner. "It's definitely not a whitewash; it tells the truth, it tells the story." Hidden within the pages, fans will learn the strength it took for these women to tackle the hard rock scene, straight from the ladies themselves.
Nancy's quick, slick guitar playing combined with Ann’s like-no-other vocal range continues to show us the power of rock and roll, and that’s something Heart die-hards can look forward to for years to come.
