After already admittedly pitching himself to producer Barbara Broccoli, John Travolta said in a new interview with The Telegraph that he now has sights set on playing the villain in the next installment of the 007 series.
The 59-year-old mentioned that producers are “going a different way with their villain in this next film,” which is why he thinks he’d be a good fit for the role. The two-time Oscar nominee also added that he doesn’t want to “close the chapter on playing villains” until he gets the chance to Face Off—pun intended—against James Bond.
Despite all the talk from Travolta, there is no official news that he already has the role or if he’s even in the running.
As the follow-up to 2012’s ‘Skyfall,’ the next installment will be the 24th Bond film and is due to arrive in theaters on November 6th, 2015. The same Skyfall director Sam Mendes will again work with star Daniel Craig in the next movie.
